The concrete is only as good as the ground beneath it.
A concrete surface starts well before the concrete arrives. Excavation depth, sub-base preparation, compaction, levels and drainage all affect the finished work.
Heiyu Build carries out concrete works and the associated groundwork for homeowners, builders and contractors across Dublin and surrounding areas.

Before the pour

Excavation depth
The existing ground may need to be reduced to allow for the required sub-base and concrete construction.

Suitable material is placed, levelled and compacted to provide a prepared base beneath the concrete.

Finished levels need to work with doors, paths, surrounding surfaces and drainage around the property.

Where water needs to be managed, drainage requirements should be considered before the concrete is placed.
Connected groundwork
More than simply pouring concrete.
Concrete work often forms part of a wider project. Heiyu Build can also carry out the excavation and ground preparation required before the concrete stage.
Where required, the project can also involve drainage work, underground ducting and pipework, or preparation connected with driveways, paths and garden buildings.
For cabins, pods and garden rooms, the concrete base can be coordinated with the site excavation and required underground services rather than treating each part as a separate job.

Ground is excavated as required and the sub-base is prepared and compacted.

Set the work
Levels, falls, edges and any specified reinforcement are prepared for the concrete.

Concrete & finish
The concrete is placed and finished according to the agreed purpose and scope of the work.
